Interview with Dennis Ward, 2001 1-What's
happening right now with you and Pink Cream 69? 2-Talk a litle about the new album Endangered, it was just released in Brazil: This was the easiest record we ever made. The fastest, too. I can honestly say that we work like a machine together. Each member is a part in this machine. We've gotten a bit more melodic with this record. As usual, we didn't try to make it this way, the songs just developed into this. We never have a "concept" when we write. 3-Are you guys going to play at Wacken this year? How it is play in a youth festival like dynamo ou Wacken? No Waken this year. I don't think we are Metal enough. We are also not trendy enough to play Dynamo. 4-Way back, in the 80's, PC69 has opened to Whitelion, tell us some good history about Mike Tramp and the guys of lion. No good history of Mike Tramp. He was a complete asshole from the first day I met him. I think the only other person I met that was so complicated and impolite would have to be...... I better not say.... but his initials are A.D. The other guys in White lion were pretty nice. We didn't have alot of contact with them. 5-Give
us some memory from, how it was the metal scene and the market for -1988:
Lots of big hair and tight pants. Girls wore mini skirts. Lots of drugs and alcohol. 6-How it was to work with Angra? Great! Nice guys and very professional. I feel comfortable working with them. 7-Rate the following bass players from 0 to 10: -Felipe
Andreoli: 9 8-What is your favourite PC69 album and why? Food for thought. The songs are at an international standard as far as I am concerned. 9-Which PC69 album had the most commercial success? I guess the second. One size fits all. Lots of hair... 10-There's some song (from other band) that you would like to record for a PC69 album, the version of Motley Crue was really killer! I'd like to record 'Don't worry, be Happy!' 11-With the oficial brazilian site and the fan club, plus the records in Brazilian releases, do you guys think about a Brazilian tour? No. It's alot of work to travel. And hard to get girls, and the beer isn't strong enough. 12-Which country is the best market for PC69? Germany. Best beer, too! 13-Rate the following bands, 0 to 10: -Europe:
5 14-What your most strong musical influences? Journey and Rush. And a bit of John Denver..... 15-Thanks for the interview, we hope that PC69 come to Brazil soon! The band is amazing! Leave a message to your Brazilian fans: Thank you! Take care! Published here | |||||
