THEATER, the FOO FIGHTERS and "Swing when you're winning." I never had
one favorite band... Maybe in the earlier days or maybe still??? THE BEATLES !!!

Uwe
met The Pinkies in the first half of 2003. At that time guys from PC69 decided
to return back to stage and looked for a guitarist who will be able to support
Alfred during concerts. To find a suitable candidate, The Pinkies went to "Rockshop"
in Karlsruhe, where Dennis' friend Alex Muller had been working, and asked him
to find a guitarist. Muller suggested Uwe, who has worked in the same store as
well as taught to play the guitar in music school and played in local bands, to
audition at PC69. Uwe called to Dennis, who explained to him that the band needs
an "old school" guitarist. Reitenauer sent a demo tape, recorded in
a rehearsal room to Ward. The Pinkies liked a lot what they have heard on this
tape, and they made an appointment with Uwe. The most important for PC69 was to
know what kind of person is Uwe and will they get well together with Alfred. The
Pinkies were very satisfied with the meeting. Also important was the fact that
Uwe was born in Karlsruhe. PC69 is quite closed band, and guys did not want to
take in their team someone totally alien, and the fact that Uwe belonged to the
environment in which Kosta and Alfred grew up and now Dennis belonged to it facilitated
the adoption of Reitenauer in the band.
Initially, Uwe only played at concerts
of PC69, but while working on "In10sity" he was involved in the process
of recording and became a full member. Uwe has not yet committed any songwriting
to PC69 yet.
In addition of his work with PC69, Uwe also participated in Place
Vendome and Sunstorm. The list of bands and musicians whom he worked with, is
quite impressive: Joe Lynn Turner, Helloween, Axxis, Freedom Call, Silent Force,
Jaded Heart, White Lion - only some of them.
In the late 90's Uwe was living
in Los Angeles, where he studied at the American Institute of Music (LAMA).
Currently,
Uwe continues his work at "Rockshop" and also teaching at a private
guitar school "Am Sandfeld" and children's music school "Baiersbronn".
