19, 2010 - Interview
with Michael Kiske
Here
is a part of the interview with Michael Kiske (now as UNISONIC vocalist) talking
about the new band, the composition progress, set list for the new tour etc:
Fanclub:
What kind of music we will hear with UNISONIC? Would it be a mix between the sound
of KISKE and PLACE VENDOME? Michael Kiske: It won't be just a mix of
PLACE VENDOME and KISKE. You will certainly recognize the musicians. Dennis will
always be Dennis. The same goes for me and Mandy etc. A bit of Place Vendome you
will also here, just less eighties like produced, but we are working Since
UNISONIC will work everything out as a band, all of my songs will also sound different
then they would on my solo-records. A main idea is to write stuff together. We
do have some nice stuff already, but we will be very critical, because we want
the music to be the best possible, not just quickly done.
Fanclub:
In the statement of Sweden Rock Festival about UNISONIC, it says that you'll play
your songs and a few HELLOWEEN classics, but what does you mean by "your
songs"? only UNISONIC songs or also some tunes of KISKE and PLACE VENDOME? Michael:
We will play songs from PLACE VENDOME, UNISONIC and probably two of my older songs
I re-recorded on "Past In Different Ways" album. I guess "Kids
Of The Century" and maybe "A Little Time". We will hopefully
have the first UNISONIC album out by then, but even if that's the case, we wouldn't
have enough plain UNISONIC material for longer shows. So we need to play other
material. And especially PLACE VENDOME deserves some live playing. But it will
only be songs we have written.
Fanclub:
Does UNISONIC mean that the project PLACE VENDOME is stop? Michael:
I don't know about PLACE VENDOME though. We'll see.
Fanclub:
What are the future plans for UNISONIC? A new album, promotional video clip, tour
in European festivals, tour in other places (South America, Japan, Usa, etc),
and live Dvd? Michael: All that and more!

December
3, 2009 - Mandy
Meyer about Unisonic
After
the statement from Kosta Zafiriou, Michael
Kiske official fanclub got the opinion about the band from guitarist Mandy
Meyer:
"First
off, the clarification and beginning was, that I knew Dennis Ward, who produced
the last album I played on. He suggested me as a guitar player for this band.
I also worked together with Jan Bayati who’s managing us, while my years in Gotthard.
I always thought, that Bottom Row did a very efficient job and wouldn’t get engaged
with something that has no future in the music business. This is a very important
fact, which is kind of comforting to know, that they probably will get the best
results out of a product and I don’t have to feel like a guinea pig.
I
do love the unique voice of Michael, who is going to give our music a very special
approach. Also the fact, that Dennis and Kosta are fantastic players and played
music together for many years, will give this sound a very intense drive and enormous
dynamics. And of course, it’s be very much beneficial, to have Dennis in the band,
who is a fantastic record producer and musician.
We’re
working on our music at this moment and hopefully get to a record production in
the next few month.
I’m
really looking forward to UNISONIC and will be ready to perform exciting, powerful
and creative music together with my new band buddies".
November 28, 2009 - Album cover of Unisonic
Very
possible that the designer of new album cover and band logo would be Carl-Andre
Beckston, designer of Place Vendome and Kiske last albums. But this information
is not confirmed.
